About

A workshop led by a master craftsman.

Dimitrios Korres, founder of New York Custom Woodworking

Dimitrios Korres founded New York Custom Woodworking more than thirty years ago. He leads it today as CEO and master craftsman, and every piece that leaves the workshop answers to his standard.

The work is architectural millwork for demanding interiors: paneled rooms, libraries, kitchens, doors and built-ins for residences across New York City and New Jersey. It is made to order in a 6,000 sq. ft. workshop in Maspeth, Queens.

Architects, designers and builders bring NYCWW the rooms where a sixteenth of an inch shows. On those projects the question is always the same: who is responsible for building what was drawn. Here the answer has a name.

The standard

What we hold ourselves to.

Built as drawnThe design belongs to the architect. Our job is to carry it into wood without losing a line.
Made in MaspethEvery project is built in our own workshop, where the person answerable for a piece is never far from it.
One standardThe inside of a drawer gets the same attention as the face of a door.
